The Old Smith 90-007, with its black sunray dial and Jubilee bracelet, embodies the essence of Kuoe: understated elegance, silent refinement, deeply Japanese. Inspired by 1930s military watches, its 35mm 316L steel silhouette evokes restraint, while its polished and curved lines reveal modern craftsmanship. The contained thickness of 12mm, combined with a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, gives the watch a discreet yet assertive presence.
The black sunburst dial catches the light with subtlety, revealing delicate reflections—like a water surface at dusk. At six o'clock, the small seconds hand traces its own rhythm, calm and precise. The applied Arabic numerals and flame-blued, then hand-curved, leaf hands glide silently beneath the curve of the glass, with a rare accuracy.
The Miyota 82S5 automatic movement, faithful to Kuoe's choice, offers 21,600 vibrations per hour, a power reserve of approximately 42 hours, manual winding, and hacking seconds.
