With the Old Smith 90-007, featuring a white dial and Jubilee bracelet, Kuoe delivers a piece of purity and precision, inspired by 1930s Japanese city watches. Its compact 35mm 316L stainless steel case, subtly polished, naturally conforms to the wrist thanks to a 12mm thickness and a lug-to-lug distance of approximately 42mm. The overall impression evokes the discreet elegance of a well-designed object, without ostentation.
The matte white dial evokes a sheet of washi paper — clean, bright, and perfectly legible. The applied Arabic numerals are gently inscribed, while at six o'clock, the small seconds hand traces a silent circle. The flame-blued leaf hands, created using a traditional technique, add a rare artisanal touch: their curvature precisely follows the dome of the sapphire crystal, like a calligraphic brush following the line of the wrist.
Inside, the Miyota 82S5 automatic movement offers a 42-hour power reserve, with manual winding, hacking function, and a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour. Reliable, consistent, without excessive noise — a mechanical heart aligned with Kuoe's philosophy.
