ROYAL SMITH 90-008

The Royal Smith 90-008 in textured green embodies the very essence of the Japanese city watch: elegant, balanced, full of restraint. With its 34mm cushion case in 316L steel, it recalls watches from the first half of the 20th century, but with the contemporary rigor characteristic of KUOE. The lines are soft, the proportions just right. Nothing is superfluous.

The forest green dial, subtly textured, catches the light like moss on a wet stone in Kyoto. The applied Breguet numerals float lightly, silvery like raindrops. The leaf hands glide silently, driven by the Miyota 9039 automatic caliber — a reliable and discreet movement, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offering approximately 42 hours of power reserve.

The slightly domed sapphire glass softens the gaze, while the transparent case back reveals the soberly decorated movement. Without date, without complications, readability is fluid, focused on the essential. The watch naturally hugs the wrist thanks to its short lugs and a leather or "rice grain" steel strap, depending on the chosen version.

Water resistant to 5 ATM, it withstands daily life, while retaining the lightness inherent in well-designed objects. A watch like a clear sentence, like a calm morning: both present and peaceful.
